Just clear this from the start, we only wanted Schalke to be knocked out and not luck to liverpool too. The fact that Schalke were knocked out by Atletico Madrid puts Juventus in a favourable position in the draw as Juve now move up to second seedings. As I had explained before, Juve needed either Schalke or Liverpool knocked out to get into second seedings and my that was close. Had it not been for Liverpool’s hell of luck they have been having these last days Liverpool, the mighty Reds would have been magically thrown out of Europe by Belgian minnows Standard Liege!

Tiago is finally rumoured to be on the verge of joining Porto and he should not refuse a deal back to his home country. Meanwhile club-less Appiah is poised to return to the vecchiasignora as only slight details remain to be finalized. Tiago was not even enlisted for yesterday’s match for Juve and that was the final straw for the flop. he should realise he is nowhere in Ranieri’s plan eventhough the Tinkermann licked his butt in some press conferences. I really don’t know why Ranieri spoke of good things regarding Tiago, I mean at Juve he simply is unworthy and Ranieri should move to check out his youngsters other than WASTING time on stupid press conferences regarding unworthy players. This SAGA must be dealt with immediately and i sincerely hope Tiago goes away to wherever they send him at a cost!

Appiah had played for Fenerbache after moving from Juventus and now he seems to be on the verge of making a return to the black and white colours.

21.27 - HALF TIME - Juve and Artmedia sharing the spoils here..Fodrek scores and Amauri grabs one back as you cannot currently determine who will win this match although the tie is already over. 5-1 on aggregate. that says it all. Juve could have equalised earlier had Amauri’s header not hit the post….

21.26 Andersson and Kozak feint the free-kick and then Buffon saves easily

21.25 - Another Freekick for Artmedia. Yellow Card to Camoranesi!

21.24 - Molinaro risks conceding a penalty…Buffon lines up his wall………Easy clearance for Juve from the freekick…Counter for Juve which ends pretty quick

21.22 - We are lacking something….hmm il capitano! i would love to see giovinco and alex in the second half!

21.20 Artmedia won all their four Champions League qualfying round matches on their way to being beaten 4-0 by Juve. They knocked out Maltese hopefuls Valletta and then beat Tampere United to play Juve in the third round.

21.17 - If someone could tell me where is Tiago right now it would be good to hear? Maybe he’s sleeping who knows?

21.11 - Juve start taking control of the match. Artmedia clear and Juve win the corner. That was close!

21.09 - It is now pretty obvious! Clear as a blue sky! Juventus are through to the group stage as all Artmedia hopes of a massive comeback are blown right away. You might think this is too early but they should have never conceded should they really wanted to dream of a group stage place. To make things clear, Artmedia have to score 5, that’s it 5 goals, meaning Gigi Buffon would concede 5 goals in one night in order for Artmedia to qualify and beat Juve. Who are you kidding? Goodbye Artmedia already!!

21.08 - The time to love this guy comes immediately! Amauri heads it in off the post to get Juve back level! 1-1 and 5-1 on aggregate

21.06 - Artmedia are indeed looking strong and Ranieri starts looking nervous

21.05 - Nedved finally returns to European football as Juve have Iaquinta-Amauri on the attack.

21.03 Juve are playing in the gold shirts for another time in this Champions League Tie as they are keeping their traditional black and white stripes for the group stage return. Artmedia playing in their white shirts.

21.02 - No Chiellini (injury), Del Piero, Giovinco or Trezegeut and Sissoko is on the bench too. Andersson goes close, this Brazilian is putting Juve in some troubles lately!

21.00 - Artmedia have stunned Juventus with an early stunner by Fodrek in the 13th minute. Amauri hits the post after a good header at the other end! 4-1 on aggregate and Artmedia have to go a hard way to overcome this result but their determination seems dangerous. Yet Camo is still edging his brilliance over the Artmedia squad. Juve should be able to get a win nonetheless.

Juve Relaxed But Determined

Juventus face Artmedia Petrazlka in the second leg of the third round qualyfing of the champions league holding a comfortable 4-0 advantage gained from a superb first leg at Turin. Goals from Del Piero, Camoranesi, Chiellini and Legrotagglie meant that Juve would have a somewhat less tense match tonight yet it is somewhat tricky stuff what awaits Juventus in the Group Stage.

Tiago Saga Deepens, Not Listed For Match

Tiago Mendes’ career seems to continue to go down the drain as he is not even listed for tonight’s match. Ranieri has spoke out of his interest to keep Tiago with the team but this is pure ****, I mean he said that about two months ago and we do not seem to believe him now. Porto are deemed to show interest in the player and this could be the cheap move for Porto as now the Juve board have come about furious with the player. Let’s hope Secco still does not give in and cashes in €10m from the deal. At least we will recoup some money we spent on him!

Counting on Aguero & Company

As it stands Juventus are in the third seeds when it comes to the Group Stage and unless Atletico Madrid kick Schalke 04 out of the competition in this round, Juventus will remain third seeds meaning they can also face second seeds Bayern Munich, Werder bremen, Porto and Villareal to begin with. The following are the seedings for the Group Stage. Teams marked with an asterisk mean that the team is still yet to play tonight or tomorrow night.

Liverpool Exit Would Not Hurt Us Either

Liverpool hung on to a 0-0 draw which seemed hard to go with against Standard but the fact that the Reds would play at Anfield tomorrow means that a win is truly obvious. Should Standard beat Liverpool, Juventus would climb into second seeds nevertheless what outcome comes out of the Atletico-Schalke match but this is highly improbable and the former European Champions will have no task easier that of pushing Standard aside.

Fascia 1:Chelsea,Liverpool*,Barcellona*Arsenal,Manchester United,Lione,Inter,Real Madrid

Fascia 2: Bayern Monaco,PSV,Villareal,Roma,Porto,Werder Brema,Sporting Lisbona,Schalke04*

Fascia 3: Juventus*,Marsiglia,Zenit,Steaua B.*,Panathinaikos*,Celtic,Bordeaux,Basilea*

Fascia 4: Fenerbache*,Shaktar*,Fiorentina*,Dinamo Kiev*,CFR Cluj,Aalborg*,Anorthosis*,Bate Borisov*

It seems Tiago Mendes’ move to Everton is never going to come to fruition as Coach Claudio Ranieri seems not ready to part ways with the Portuguese midfielders. Recent reports suggest that Claudio Ranieri has advised tiago to stay put as he has him in his plans. The embattled Tiago came under fire when two English clubs were reported to be interested in him. Newcastle United and Everton were reported to be interested in signing him on with the latter on the verge of bringing him back to the Premier League. However, the comments from Ranieri is likely to make Tiago’s transfer, ‘ago’

Recent reports suggest that Serie A and B players wanted to delay the start of this season’s Serie A by 30 minutes to register their displeasure at the Lega Pro for restricting the number of players in the Serie C. Players from the top division claim this decision from the Lega Pro or Serie C will render several players unemployed. To curb a situation like that happening to Italy all players in the Serie A and B wanted to embark on this action. However, they have called off this action and so the Serie A will kick off successfully on 31st of August as scheduled with the match between Sampdoria and Inter Milan likely to be played on Saturday, 29th of August.

Most Dangerous Threat Milan, Surprise Teams Follow

JLast night Juve were missing Trezegeut, Camoranesi, Zanetti, Del Piero, Chiellini, Buffon, Manninger, Poulsen and Iaquinta among others. The only real threat I see from the Milan team is if Ronaldinho gets back to his past splendid form cause a midfield and attack which has Ronaldinho and Kaka listed on it is not easy to face with but should we be on full throttle with all players available it will be a good challenge. Inter have built up a strong team buying and adding depth to the squad with the arrival of Jose Mourinho but I actually see Roma or Fiorentina moving a step ahead and pip the current Italian Champions. Roma have failed to win the scudetto for a couple of years now and their slight inconsistency when it comes to real deal in the league seems to be faulty and unless they can create a great deal at the start of the season I do not see Roma as a contender for the Serie A. The arrival of Julio Baptista does put thought to edit this last sentence though but I’ll keep on to my first opinion. Regarding Fiorentina, they are going to play in the Champions League too this season, should they beat Slavia Prague in the preliminaries (1-0 first leg) and they would find it slightly difficult to cope with both competitions but I reckon the Viola are putting on a good ambition having strengthened the team as they did and a Gilardino-Mutu attack is somewhat dangerous.

It is difficult to predict the outcome of the Serie A before it has even kicked-off but the SuperCoppa next Sunday will definitely give us a slight idea of how Inter and Roma will fair. Roma have not had the finest pre-season friendlies and Inter well I don’t really care how they did in the friendlies against Juve we beat them so that’s pretty that!
